Renovations & In-fills

At Boyce Heating, we work regularly with both local contractors and homeowners for renovation work, along with new build projects. Typically, our clients are seeking advice on their renovation project and they want to make sure that what they’re doing within their renovation will provide them with the proper heating and cooling their home needs once the project is complete.

When working on a renovation or in-fill project, we consider modifying pieces of the existing system by adding more hot air supplies or more return air supplied in the home. If the renovation involves an addition to the home, we need to consider the size of the furnace or air conditioner and determine if those units have the capacity to heat and cool any new square footage.

In cases where the existing products will not work efficiently after the renovation takes place, we will often suggest the addition of a new, or additional, furnace or air conditioning unit to allow for proper heating and cooling. Sizing the furnace is crucial in having the system work to its maximum efficiency level, and our service experts can help you get there.

We are proud to hold a company policy that involves duct sealing all of our installations, a practice that is above provincial code in Alberta. This process increases efficiency throughout the heating system and distributes the air more evenly in the home (we really love efficiency!).

If you’re a contractor or a homeowner with a renovation or in-fill project in mind, we would love to connect with you and help you explore all of the heating and cooling options available for your home.

Interested in zoning of your systems? We can do that, too!
